Our Members.

The strength of our collaborative is found in the breadth, expertise, and diversity of our members, a group of individuals and organizations who serve as thought partners in this work. We believe in the urgent need and unique opportunity for an innovative solution to strengthen democracy through robust local news in Georgia.

Currently, more than 60 individuals and organizations receive regular updates on GNC, and an average of 35 individuals meet on a bi-monthly basis to set and approve strategy.

Actively participate in meetings (bi-monthly member meetings and individual committee meetings where applicable);

Provide strategic review and insight on early recommendations and initiatives;

Build meaningful relationships with others in the collaborative, leading with trust and transparency; and

Strive for inclusion, equity, and integrity in our work, building from SPJ’s Code of Ethics.

Members agree to:

Access to all meeting materials, discussions, reports, membership contact information, and relationship-building opportunities;

Early access to all findings and recommendations of a state-wide landscape analysis;

Early and complete access to regular state-wide polling and an opportunity to submit topics/questions for inclusion in polling;

Opportunity to participate in early co-reporting, training, and presentation; and

An active seat at the table in setting strategies for an innovative state-wide solution.
